Late last year television and technology manufacturer LG introduced a working television that was roughly the thickness of a compact disc. Although it won’t be readily available to the public for at least a couple of years, it took great strides in showing what the future of television technology looks like. The prototype was made using OLED tech with carbon based materials that emit their own light. The material is also flexible enough that you can almost simply roll up the television as you would a rug. Integrating smart TV technology would allow a multitude of possibilities for these screens, and this technology makes moving, storage and presentations unbelievably easy. Also such an item would be ideal for living situations where floor space was at a minimum. You wouldn’t have to sacrifice square footage with a bulky television.
