11 Worst Professions for Jobs in the Future
11) Print Binding Worker
Print binding involves putting together printed works into finished products. For example, the physical folding and attachment of book or magazine pages are jobs for print binding workers. Perhaps, expectedly, the art of binding by hand is becoming less valuable as time goes on. Human workers make few books. They are, instead, mass-produced with machinery. Yet even the need for people to work these machines has been declining. Many printed items are imported, and thus do not need domestic binding workers to make them. Working in book binding facilities is repetitive and often involves functions in an assembly line setup. The median salary, according to Kiplinger, is around $30,000. Kiplinger also states that between 2016 and 2026, the job prospects for binding workers are expected to decline by over 10%. You’d have better prospects working as a computer or car assembler.
