9) Follow your passion

This is advice you don’t hear very often when it comes to retiring early however, it is one that should be mentioned. If done well, following your passion will get you much farther than you ever thought possible.

Most people who follow their passion become somewhat obsessed with doing so. The drive to do well and succeed in something you love to do is often enough to earn a nice living. Most importantly you will be living a life you enjoy and can be proud of. Many people simply feel retiring means no longer working for a company or someone else but maybe that is when you can begin your passion. Perhaps, putting your pen to that novel you’ve been dreaming about for years or learning to play that musical instrument you’ve wanted to since grade school may just become a reality when you retire, or beforehand if you’re lucky.

So, don’t just sit there waiting. Use your passion to drive results.
