7) Mark Zuckerberg

For those rare few of you who don’t recognize this name, Mark Zuckerberg is the man who created Facebook. More than 1 billion people use Facebook each day, and more than 8 billion videos are watched daily. Before his Facebook fame, however, Zuckerberg created Synapse. An AI music player which learned a user’s listening habits and then suggested songs that the listener may like. He was offered over one million for the product, but would’ve had to commit to the buying company once he graduated. Being Zuckerberg, he refused the deal and went to Harvard. Soon after he got to Harvard he started working on Facebook. An investor offered Mark 10 million after working on Facebook for one month. Mark said no and would be offered money again and again. The biggest story would be when Yahoo offered 1 billion. Zuckerberg wanted to say no, but his board pressured him into saying yes, however, Yahoo’s stock soon dropped significantly. They came back and offered 800 million, and Mark said no once again. From there Zuckerberg has made Facebook into something worth billions of dollars, and is such a huge success that the majority of Americans still check it daily.
