9) Jim Walton
Jim Walton is the man of Wal-Mart. He also is the chairman and CEO of the family-founded Arvest Bank. Before his wealth, however, he was just the child of Sam Walton who is the founder of Wal-Mart. Jim grew up attending Bentonville High School. He was the president of his junior class, played football at an all-state level, and learned how to fly a plane. After high school he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Marketing from the University of Arkansas. In 1972, Jim joined Wal-Mart and was involved in its real estate dealings. In 1975, he became the president of Walton Enterprises. To this day Jim has a wealth that amounts to 33.7 billion dollars. He continues to show leadership in the companies and corporations he is a part of. It can be said that his non-stop business attitude has helped him get to where he is today.
